How SDQA is accountable
SDQA is a Community Interest Company, number 16543744, registered in England and Wales. Here's what that means, and where you can check it for yourself.
What a CIC is
A CIC is a limited company set up to benefit the community. Its assets and profits must be used for the community, under an asset lock. If SDQA ever closed, what was left after paying its debts would go to another asset-locked body. CICs are overseen by the Office of the Regulator of Community Interest Companies.
SDQA doesn't pay dividends. Every surplus goes back into the work.
What we file every year
Every CIC files accounts at Companies House together with a community interest report. The report sets out what the company did for the community, who it consulted and how, what it paid its directors, and any transfer of its assets. Once filed, both are public.
- Accounts and community interest report. Our first financial year ended on 30 June 2026. The first accounts and report will be filed by the 26 March 2027 deadline. Until then, there's nothing yet to file.
- Confirmation statement. Our latest was filed on 19 June 2026.
- Who runs SDQA. Our directors and the people with significant control are listed on Companies House.

What we publish ourselves
- Project reports. Our finished projects each have a report, with photographs from the build and the place where it stands.
