Cookie policy
Last updated 25 September 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar technologies sdqa.org.uk uses, and how you control them. It sits alongside our privacy policy.
Our consent model: no non-essential cookies until you choose
When you first visit, only the cookies that are strictly necessary to run the site are active. Our Meta and Microsoft Clarity tags do not load at all until you opt in through the cookie banner. Our Google tags (Google Ads and Google Analytics) run in Google Consent Mode: until you choose, they set no cookies and send Google only cookieless signals (the page visited and your consent state, with no persistent identifier), which Google uses to estimate campaign results without identifying you. If you accept, they work normally; if you reject, they stay cookieless. You can accept, reject non-essential cookies, or set each category yourself, and you can change your choice at any time.
Strictly necessary cookies (always on)
These are required for the site to work and for you to sign in securely. They cannot be switched off. They include a session cookie that keeps you signed in, a short-lived sign-in (magic-link) token, and a small record of your cookie choices so we can remember them. These do not track you across other websites and are not used for advertising.
Marketing cookies (off until you opt in)
With your consent, these help us measure our advertising and reach people who may want to support our projects. They are set by:
- Garden Meta Pixel (ID 970699602111410): Measures our Meta (Facebook and Instagram) campaigns and helps us reach people who care about lasting Sadaqah. Live now, gated behind your marketing consent.
- Garden Google Ads (ID AW-18143992426): Measures our Google Ads campaigns. Runs in Google Consent Mode: until you accept marketing cookies it sets no cookies and sends Google only cookieless signals; with your consent it works normally.
- SDQA Meta Pixel (ID 2056736885241671): The SDQA-specific Meta Pixel for our own campaign measurement. Configured; activates with the full measurement set in a later phase, and only ever with your marketing consent.
Analytics cookies (off until you opt in)
With your consent, these help us understand how the site is used so we can improve it. They are set by:
- Google Analytics 4 (GA4) (ID G-XYY2KBPFL3): Site-usage analytics to help us improve the site. Runs in Google Consent Mode: until you accept analytics cookies it sets no cookies and sends Google only cookieless signals; with your consent it works normally.
- Microsoft Clarity (ID yn8x5xbn2c): Shows us how our pages are actually used, through heatmaps and session replays: what people scroll past, where they click, and where a form is abandoned, so we can fix what gets in the way. Replays are recorded with strict masking, so the text on screen and anything you type, including your name, email and payment details, is hidden from us. Loads only with your analytics consent.
Managing your choices
You can change or withdraw your cookie consent at any time. Use the control below, or the "Manage cookies" link in the site footer, to reopen the cookie banner and update your preferences. Withdrawing consent stops the relevant cookies loading on your next page view.
You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings, though some parts of the site may not work as well if you block the strictly necessary cookies.
