Build your own water well
Tell us who it's for and roughly what you'd like to spend. After a free conversation and some initial research on where it could go, a deposit confirms the price, the location and the detailed planning, including a check of the water there. 30% of the total starts the build, and we agree the rest with you, in full or in stages.
When it's finished, the photographs and the location go into your project record, with an account of the work. You'll also get a certificate of completion in your name, by email and in your dashboard.

Your questions
Can I build a water well in someone's name?
Yes. With a whole well, their name goes on the dedication plaque, and we'll take the plaque wording when we first speak. If you help fund a share of a named project instead, there's no personal plaque.
How much does it cost to build a water well?
Mayuge's £1,800 hand pump includes the commissioning water test. Makonde's £34,000 solar well and tower is a published budget. For a well of your own, we start with a free conversation and some initial research on where it could go. When you're happy, a deposit confirms it: the price, the location and the detailed planning. 30% of the total starts the build, and we agree the rest with you, in full or in stages through the work.
What if the cost changes?
We work hard to price every project accurately, and if anything changes you'll hear it from us first. The price you see covers the build, its delivery and reporting, and our own costs. If it's going to cost more, we'll tell you up front and talk it through with you.
Is my gift protected?
Yes. If a shared project can't go ahead, your gift moves to a similar one, and we'll let you know. You can ask us to refund a share until work on its project begins; once work has started, it's committed to the project, though we'll still refund a genuine mistake.
