Progress
Build a masjid in Sub-Saharan Africa and earn ongoing reward through every salah, every Qur'an recitation, and every act of worship that takes place there, by Allah's mercy.
In parts of Sub-Saharan Africa, Muslim communities gather to pray in open spaces or under temporary shelters with no dedicated masjid. A completed masjid becomes a permanent centre for worship, learning, and community strength.
By funding a masjid, you are investing in Sadaqah Jariyah, reward that continues as long as worship continues.
Imagine a village like this. A mother wakes before dawn, wrapping her youngest child against the cool morning air, and walks to the clearing at the edge of the village. There is no masjid here, just a circle of flattened earth beneath a baobab tree where the faithful gather. She lays out a worn mat and waits for the others, listening for the call to prayer that never comes because there is no one to call it from a minaret that does not exist. When her father was alive, he spoke of building a proper place of worship. That dream faded with him.
Without a masjid, the community improvises. Children memorise surahs sitting in the dust, reciting after their grandmother who is slowly losing her sight. Jumu'ah prayers are held in the shade when the heat allows, abandoned when the rains turn the ground to mud. Ramadan iftars are shared in scattered homes; Eid prayers are offered in a borrowed courtyard. The bonds that hold the community together are strong, but they are fraying, stretched thin by the absence of a place to call their own.
Now picture what your support can build. A masjid rises on that same clearing, cool, solid, and welcoming. The adhan echoes across rooftops for the first time. Her children learn tajweed in a proper classroom; the elders sit in comfort, guiding the young; the whole village gathers under one roof for Eid, for nikah, for the simple, profound act of standing shoulder to shoulder in prayer. This masjid is not just bricks and mortar. It is the pulse of a community reborn.
Place the first stone beneath the baobab tree. Build a house of Allah where a community has waited a generation, and let every prayer offered within its walls flow back to you as Sadaqah Jariyah, for as long as it stands.

Sub-Saharan Africa
In Sub-Saharan Africa, many Muslim communities lack a permanent masjid. Congregational prayer and Qur'an learning are conducted in open areas or borrowed spaces, limiting consistency and community cohesion.
A completed masjid provides a spiritual anchor: a dedicated space for daily salah, Jumu'ah, Ramadan worship, and Islamic education.
Delivery is managed through experienced local partners with practical oversight and community involvement.
This project also reflects the practical realities of delivering in challenging environments, where access conditions can be restricted. SDQA applies a high baseline access rating where needed to ensure expectations remain grounded and governance remains strong.
Funding Phase
The project moves to implementation once all 100 shares are completed.
