Sadaqah Jariyah: giving that keeps benefiting people
Sadaqah Jariyah means giving that goes on doing good once the gift is made, like a water well a village draws from every day. You can build one of your own or help fund one with others, and we hope Allah accepts it and lets its good continue.
Water running at the finished hand pump in Mika, Wakiso District, Uganda, handed over in August 2026
You're here because you want your giving to keep doing good. So do we. Tell us what you'd like to build and who it's for, and we'll help you find the place it can do the most good.
May Allah accept it from you.

The short answers
What is Sadaqah Jariyah?
It's voluntary giving that keeps doing good after it's given, for as long as people benefit from what it built. We hope Allah accepts it and lets that benefit continue, but we never put a number of years on it or promise what reward it brings.
What are some examples?
A water well that a community drinks from, or a masjid where people keep coming to pray. A home for a family, or a classroom where children learn, can be Sadaqah Jariyah too. Whichever you build, you'll get updates as it's made, then a report with photographs and its location once it's finished. About a year on, our partners tell us how it's being used, and we pass that on to you.
Where you could start
Three kinds of project to build
You can build any of these on your own, or fund one share of a named project alongside other givers; each project's page shows the price.
Water for a village
We've already built a hand pump at Mika in Uganda.
We'll call you within one working day. For a whole project, we start with a free conversation and some initial research. When you're happy, a deposit confirms the price, the location and the detailed planning. 30% of the total starts the build, and we agree how you pay the rest, in full or in stages. Your deposit can be returned up until the work starts. Shares are paid at checkout and can be refunded on request until work on their project starts, after which they're committed to the project, though we'll still refund a genuine mistake. If the project can't go ahead, we'll tell you about moving your share to a similar project.
