Build commissioned, site survey underway
Alhamdulillah, the build has been commissioned with our field delivery team in Bangladesh. They are now identifying the village and the land and running the site survey. Construction begins once the survey is approved, and we will share the location and photos here as the work progresses.
About This Project
Named after my miracle daughter, the Sumayah Centre will be a lasting sanctuary in Bangladesh: a safe place for orphan girls and women to read the Qur'an, learn, and find guidance and support, Insha'Allah.
Learning rooms for Qur'an and Islamic studies, a quiet space for the women and girls to pray, and a place for guidance and sisterhood. A centre made for orphan girls and women, not a public masjid. A Sadaqah Jariyah that keeps giving for as long as it stands.
The family seeded the build with the first £1,000 and it has now been commissioned. We are raising the rest together so the work can run straight through, Insha'Allah.
When Allah blessed me with my daughter, Sumayah, I felt a love and gratitude I cannot fully put into words, a miracle I never take for granted. That blessing is exactly why I cannot stop thinking about the orphan girls who do not have someone to hold them, guide them, or give them a safe place to grow. Every girl deserves the chance to feel protected and to know her worth, and I want the Sumayah Centre to be that place for as many of them as possible.
The Prophet Muhammad, peace be upon him, said: 'I and the one who takes care of an orphan will be like this in Paradise,' and he gestured with his index and middle fingers held together (Sahih al-Bukhari). That is the kind of closeness to the Prophet, peace be upon him, I want to strive for, not just for myself, but for my community and my daughter's future.
I also want this centre to be a home for the women around us, a place to learn the Qur'an together, seek guidance, and lean on one another. The Prophet, peace be upon him, said: 'Do not prevent the female servants of Allah from the mosques of Allah' (Sahih Muslim). Women deserve a real, welcoming space of their own to worship, learn and grow, not as an afterthought, but as a priority.
The Sumayah Centre will be built for exactly that: orphan girls finding safety and faith, and women finding sisterhood and guidance, Insha'Allah, for generations to come.
Every share builds this centre, so orphan girls find safety and faith, and women find sisterhood and guidance, Insha'Allah, for generations to come.
Names changed for privacy.

What we're building
A purpose-built centre for orphan girls and women, with two learning rooms and a quiet prayer space.
- Learning rooms where orphan girls and women read the Qur'an, take Islamic studies, and receive guidance and support.
- A quiet, dedicated space for the women and girls to pray, so they have somewhere of their own.
The land will be given and held in trust for the community, confirmed on the site survey. Nothing you give is spent on buying it.

Floor plan

How It Works
You fund a share
Each £80 share moves the centre closer. The family have seeded the first £1,000.
Site confirmed
Our field delivery team confirms the village in Bangladesh on real need, on land given for the centre and held in trust.
Ground-breaking
Du'a, photos and GPS coordinates pinned, then the build begins.
The doors open
The first Qur'an class is held and the first lessons begin, filmed and reported to you.
Bangladesh
The centre will be built in Bangladesh, where orphaned girls are in real need of a safe place to learn and grow, and where our field delivery team is established.
The final village is confirmed on the site survey, on land given for the centre and held in trust by the local community. The budget covers the build, its delivery and reporting, and our own costs.
This project also reflects the practical realities of delivering in challenging environments, where access conditions can be restricted. SDQA applies a high baseline access rating where needed to ensure expectations remain grounded and governance remains strong.
Funding Phase
Funding stays open until the centre is fully funded. The build was commissioned on 29 September 2026 and the site survey is underway.
Build & Delivery
The build is paid in stages as the work progresses and takes around four to six months once work begins, with the aim of completion in time for Ramadan 2027, Insha'Allah.
Ongoing Oversight
- Installation confirmation and completion report
- Photo and field updates via your Akhirah Portfolio
- Periodic long-term updates where available
This project is monitored as an amanah, with clear accountability from funding through delivery.

About SDQA
Who we are
SDQA is a Community Interest Company registered in England and Wales, number 16543744.
What SDQA does
Sumayah's centre is one of several live projects on SDQA. We fund lasting things, buildings, wells and schools, in shares, so ordinary people can build something permanent together rather than giving once and never knowing what happened. Every project is tracked from funding to completion, and every supporter keeps a record of what they built. We call it an Akhirah Portfolio.
Who checks it is real
The site is confirmed on real need by our field delivery team before anything is spent.
Is there a closing date
No. Funding stays open until the centre is fully funded. The build has been commissioned and is paid in stages as the work progresses, so every gift takes the centre to its next stage.
How you will know it happened
GPS coordinates at ground-breaking, photographs through the build, and a completion report with film of the opening. All of it is shared with Jubeda and her family to pass on to you.
The Prophet ﷺ said:
"I and the one who cares for an orphan will be in Paradise like this, and he held his two fingers together." (Sahih al-Bukhari 6005)
